Charles Krug Wine Conference & Dinner

– Once a month, Le Bistro is doing a Wine Conference & Dinner, inviting prestigious keynote speakers and renamed winery. On Thursday March 23rd, we discovered the Charles Krug's Napa Valley and Carneros wines with 6 wine-paired courses from 6:30 pm to 10 pm.

 

Our keynote Speaker, Dominic Mandola introduced the Charles Krug wines owned by the Peter Mondavi Family.

Thanks to the Corks Crew Concierge, professional food blogger we experienced the dinner, you can have a view of it.

NO KID HUNGRY CAMPAIGN 

Le Bistro Helps End Childhood Hunger by participating in No Kid Hungry’s “Dine Out” Program

– After the success of the Houston Restaurant Weeks, le Bistro at the Culinary Institute LeNôtre® participated in No Kid Hungry’s “Dine Out” Program with $20 and $50 Lunch and Dinner Prix-Fixe menus.  $3 of each $20 Lunch sold has been donated to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Charity, and $5 has been donated for each $50 Dinner sold.  No Kid Hungry works to ensure that every child in the United States has access to healthy food where they live, where they learn and where they play. Every dollar donated by Le Bistro fed a child 10 meals starting September 6.

True to the teaching atmosphere, Le Bistro gives diners the unique opportunity to interact with and view LeNôtre's students in action through the dining room’s wrap-around windows. The menu boasts a delectable array of modern takes on French classics and offers salads, petits plats and main courses along with dessert selections that are made fresh from scratch daily. With items ranging from the standard Croque Monsieur to the Gulf Snapper Coubion, Le Bistro offers an exciting perspective on French cuisine. Other enticing entrées include Sweet Tea Brined Pork Chop, Buffalo Striploin Au Poivre and French Green Lentils. The well-rounded wine list consists of 60 world-class wines and a few hand-selected beers. Le Bistro is also a certified Green Restaurant allowing students to master their skills with primarily Texas grown and locally sustainable ingredients.
